The company’s design goals are always the same: loyalty to our client’s personal vision, consideration for the building architecture, and consistent respect for the surrounding landscape. We’re inspired by all styles of garden design and outdoor spaces; from traditional, to contemporary, to urban, to seaside tropical oasis.
Passionate about her work and her clients, Ms. Aldrich’s award-winning landscape designs have been featured in Coastal Living Magazine, California Homes Magazine, Seasons Magazine, Sunset Magazine, The Los Angeles Times and The Santa Barbara News-Press. Her work has also been recognized with awards from the Montecito Beautification Awards Committee, the Annual Santa Barbara Beautiful Awards Committee and the Annual Santa Ynez Beautification Awards Committee. Services include complete landscape architectural drawings, installation oversight and maintenance supervision. Over twenty years of experience have enabled the company to assemble a strong team of professional craftspersons (ie. stone masons, water feature designers, lighting specialists) who bring custom creativity to each design project. About Alida Aldrich

Alida Aldrich, principal designer at The Aldrich Company was born and raised in Los Angeles.  She studied Landscape Architecture at UCLA, and Horticulture at Pierce College in Woodland Hills and launched her landscape design business in 1982.  Having an appreciation for the more rural feel of Santa Barbara, and to expand her company’s reach, she moved her office to Montecito in the late 1980s.  To stay current with industry innovations, she continues her education at UCSB.
Alida spent a number of years as a Board Member of the Santa Barbara Family Care Center.  In the past, she has been a part of the Zoological Garden’s annual Zoofari Ball fundraising committee.  Currently, Alida is serving as a Board Member of the Montecito YMCA.  She has also donated her time and talents to various organizations throughout the city.
